Yamaha Tracer 7 GT for rental

Yamaha Tracer 7 GT for hire from RoadTrip

Introducing the World Class Yamaha Tracer 700

The Yamaha Tracer 7 joins the RoadTrip fleet following on from a number of Tracer 700s we have run. First released in mid-2016, we introduced  the first Tracer 700 to the RoadTrip fleet in 2017. We have run several of these bikes since and found them to be excellent and much enjoyed by all who have ridden them.

The Tracer 7 is based on Yamaha’s excellent 689cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin motor. It produces a class-leading 74 bhp and a hefty 50 ft-lbs of torque. This good-looking motorcycle shares all the excellent qualities of its predecessors; agility, power, a great gearbox, a very comfortable riding position, and light, responsive handling.

MT-07 to Tracer 7 Evolution

Yamaha designed the Tracer 7 for touring as well as riding pleasure. The set-up of the Tracer 7 also makes it feel like a larger bike. Foot pegs are in the same place as on the MT-07, but the rear sub-frame has been redesigned and raises the seat by 30mm, so there is more legroom. Yamaha has also raised the handlebar, added handguards, and moved the bar a bit closer to the rider, making the riding position even more comfortable. The enlarged 17 litre tank, half fairing with twin headlights, and adjustable screen set the touring tone.

The Tracer 7 also has a new aluminium rear swing arm, which is 50 mm longer and replaces the steel unit on the MT-07. This increases stability for two-up touring. The bike’s suspension set-up has also been remodelled. The rear shock absorber is longer, with more travel and revised linkages. The front fork also has longer travel for touring comfort, as well as a revised spring rate to account for the new fairing. The ride is positive and comfortable, and the longer wheelbase and increased rake do not compromise the bike’s handling at all – the Tracer 7 drops into corners just as well as the MT-07.

Dual 282mm front discs with four-pot callipers and a 245mm rear disc ensure powerful and responsive braking, and ABS is standard.

RoadTrip Yamaha Tracer 7 Motorcycle Rental

The Tracer 7 is a sure-footed touring motorcycle. At 196 kg kerb side weight, it is the lightest machine in its class. It has a superb motor and chassis and is an ideal choice for riders looking for a comfortable, sporty ride, and who would find a larger motorbike less easy to handle. The RoadTrip Tracer 7s is finished in Yamaha’s Redline colour scheme  and we have fitted engine protection bars, heated grips and a taller touring screen for added rider safety and comfort. This RoadTrip Motorcycle rental is available with optional Givi hard luggage and complimentary luggage liner bags. Our Yamaha Tracer 700 can be equipped with a Sat Nav. to complete your preferred specification.
