TRIUMPH THUNDERBIRD for hire
Triumph Thunderbird – The Great British Cruiser
The Triumph Thunderbird has been very popular since we added it to our fleet. Finished in Lava Red, and with acres of chrome, the Thunderbird is a pure cruiser with sweeping lines, low seat and high bars. On top of that, Triumph engineering has added superior performance and handling without diluting what the Thunderbird is all about.
The Triumph big-bore parallel twin
The Thunderbird is British to its core in its design and engineering. The 1600cc (98ci) Triumph parallel twin is unique in its class and is built with Triumph’s usual quality and durability. It is engineered with a 270 degree firing interval, which provides the charismatic sound, power delivery and massive low-end torque that it shares with its cousin, the American V-Twin motor. Unlike most V-Twins, the Thunderbird’s air-cooling fins encase a modern, high-performance, water-cooled power plant.
The Thunderbird’s motor produces a huge 146Nm (108 ft. lbs) of torque at a mere 2,750 rpm and its twin balancing shafts soothe low frequency vibration so that the power delivery is smooth and effortless.
Triumph Thunderbird Touring motorcycle by RoadTrip
The Thunderbird is a thoroughbred and comfortable British cruiser. It is also an ideal touring machine and RoadTrip has equipped our T-bird with everything to satisfy the needs of the moto-tourer. We have replaced the standard saddles with a more comfortable one piece touring saddle and added a mid-sized screen. We also have a shorter screen available, or you can hire the bike without a screen at all if you wish.
The bike has a removable passenger backrest, engine bars, custom luggage, heated grips and highway pegs, among other bespoke features, ensuring that you can ride this motorcycle all day long, securely and comfortably.
The RoadTrip Thunderbird also has a very low seat height of just 700 mm (27 ½”). When fully equipped, the RoadTrip T-Bird weighs in at approximately 320 kg (705 lbs). While it is a heavy machine, it is fully 60 kg lighter than its stablemate, the Thunderbird LT (380 kg/ 838 lb.) which is another reason why we chose to add this motorcycle as a touring cruiser in preference to any other.
