Motorcycle Touring in Wales

Our Wales motorcycle tour is a chance to ride in some of the UK’s most beautiful, varied landscapes. Wales is also home to some of the best motorcycling roads in the UK.
Tour duration: 3 to 5 days (2 to 4 nights)
The ride-outs that we have planned for you take in sweeping curves and grand vistas. Ride through mountains and moorland, past lakes and rivers, down to the sea. The welsh countryside has an ancient history as well. You will see plenty of old villages and farms and historic castles along the way; all have their stories to tell.

Your hotel choices are both picturesque and well appointed. One in a country town and the other is in secluded countryside. Both are recently refurbished and offer double and twin rooms with bathrooms en-suite. The Inn is in a nearby village and has similar styles of accommodation. Popular with locals, it offers hearty fare and a friendly fireside bar.

Ride-outs in Wales
Each of our suggested day ride outs will take you to explore another part of Wales.
You could head north all the way to the coast before returning via Snowdonia National Park. You can ride south to the Brecon Beacons and home via a loop through the beautiful Elan Valley. Or spend a day riding out to the rugged west coast and follow the coast road northward before heading back to base. Motorcycle touring in Wales offers outstanding scenery and roads, wherever you ride.
Whichever ride-outs you choose, all promise exciting days of riding on some of the best roads in Europe. As with all our tour planning, flexibility is key. So, if you feel like riding a shorter route or taking a day off to explore the local area on foot then by all means do so. Likewise, if there is a specific place you want to visit, just plot it into the GPS sat nav unit and off you go!
When it’s time to bid farewell to Wales, we have planned another excellent route to bring you back to RoadTrip. Or, take a different route to tour in the South West or northwards through the Peak District to Yorkshire.
