Scotland Motorcycle Tour

Motorcycle Tour of Scotland
Tour duration: 7 to 12 days (6 to 11 nights)
A motorcycle tour of Scotland is on most bikers’ bucket lists. Motorcycling in the Scottish mountains and glens is a spectacular experience. And there is much more to explore in this magnificent riding country than just the ‘North Coast 500’ route. Our flexible tour gives you the opportunity to sample a variety of Scottish regions, one by one.

Head North from the Yorkshire Dales and cross the border by the road less traveled. Ride into the rolling hills and farming country of the Scottish Borders region. From your comfortable base around an historic Market town, you can ride out in all directions. Explore the Galloway Forest and the remote west coast of Lowland Scotland. Or ride some outstanding circuits through the Lowther and Tweedsmuir hills. To tour northward, your route winds along the banks of Loch Lomond up into the Central Highlands. The Perthshire landscape is much more mountainous with many rivers and lochs.
Your choice of hand-picked accommodation offers traditional Scottish hospitality beside Loch Tay. The loch is in stunning countryside below Ben Lawers, Scotland’s highest peak. A 35-mile ride around Loch Tay will set the scene for the rest of your Central Highland motorcycle tour. Expect sweeping bends on quiet roads, lochs, rivers, waterfalls, moors, crags, and forests.

Ride-outs in Scotland
There are a wide range of full and half-day ride-outs in all directions from Loch Tay. For example, you might ride across the hills down to the west coast for lunch one day. Then explore the Cairngorm mountains National Park for another memorable full-day ride-out.

From Inverness-shire you have another choice to make. Either ride south via the Great Glen and Loch Ness or strike out to the west coast and tour the Isle of Skye. Spend another comfortable night, this time on the picturesque north west coast. Fantastic.
