DUCATI 959 PANIGALE for hire
Ducati 959 Panigale Motorcycle Rental from RoadTrip
Hire our Ducati 959 Panigale and ride a thoroughbred sports bike. Ducati introduced the 959 Panigale in 2016 as the successor to the 899 Panigale. The 959 incorporates many additional refinements over its predecessor and RoadTrip is pleased to offer this exceptional motorcycle for hire.
959 Panigale Engine and Drive evolution
The Superquadro motor has been ‘stroked’ to add capacity and produces more power than the 899. The same chain and gear driven Desmodromic system, first seen on the Ducati Pantah in 1979, controls the valves precisely. This chain drive synchronizes the crankshaft and camshaft efficiently, and the automatic tensioner, ensures high performance and reliability.
A six-speed gearbox is fitted with the Ducati Quick Shifter for optional clutch-less up-shifting. New on the 959 Panigale is the slipper and servo assistance given to the wet, multi-plate, hydraulic clutch. This enhances rider control under heavy braking and lightens the clutch lever pull. The slipper clutch works with Ducati’s adjustable engine braking control (EBC) to increase performance going into corners, and the fully ride-by-wire controls and steering damper ensure instant, assured control.
Ducati Monocoque Technology
The 959 Panigale’s improved chassis follows the innovative Monoscocca concept: different components are integrated to form a single, compact and lightweight element. The cast aluminium monocoque structure is exceptionally strong and uses the Superquadro engine as a structural element, so forming the motorcycle’s lightweight core.
The rear of the monocoque frame is fixed directly to the cylinder head, and at its front is the steering tube. As well as functioning as a frame, the monocoque also acts as an air box. It also houses the air filter and the throttle bodies, fuel circuit and injectors. The bottom of the steel tank becomes its cover when mounted in place.
Ducati ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) 9MP
Brembo Monobloc callipers and twin 320 mm floating discs at the front provide assured braking and the Bosch 9MP ABS is standard on the 959 Panigale. This is a latest-generation system with two channels that link braking control of both front and rear wheels. This guarantees not only shorter braking distances, but also the greatest stability during braking. The 9MP ABS is designed for sport use and offers three levels of operation, each associated with a Riding Mode. In ‘Race’ mode, the system works only on front discs to allow advanced braking techniques for expert riders.
The RoadTrip 959 Panigale is set up as a single seater ride and finished in Ducati racing red. This motorcycle rental is available with matched luggage and satnav.
