BMW has completely revised its medium-sized adventure touring motorcycles, and the new F 750 GS Sport builds on the success of the F 700 GS. BMW F 750 GS features and technology
BMW’s F 750 GS is more powerful and has a richer selection of electronic features than its predecessor. The F750 GS is driven by BMW’s new 853cc water cooled, vertical twin motor with four valves per cylinder. This produces a meaty 77bhp at 7,500rpm. Power is transmitted to the back wheel via a smooth shifting six speed gearbox and chain drive, which has swapped sides with the exhaust system and is now on the left side of the bike. The fuel tank has been moved as well, to a traditional forward position, making the rear of the bike narrower. When fully fuelled the F 750 GS now weighs 224kg.
Our F 750 GS’s upgraded electronics package makes it more like the larger R 1200 GS than its predecessor. BMW has added electronic riding modes as well as dynamic electronic suspension adjustment (ESA). Gearshift Assist Pro. allows smooth, clutch-less gear shifting up and down the transmission for the first time in the F Series GS motorbikes. BMW’s traction control, ABS and Automatic Stability Control system enhance riding comfort and safety.
RoadTrip’s BMW F 750 GS Sport motorcycle rental is finished in Austin Yellow Metallic. BMW’s own ‘Vario’ panniers and top case, finished in black are available and a BMW Navigator GPS navigation unit can also be fitted.
