Yamaha Tracer 700 for hire from RoadTrip
Introducing the World Class Yamaha Tracer 700
The Yamaha Tracer 700 is the best lightweight touring motorcycle on the market. It was first seen in summer 2016, and RoadTrip is pleased to add it to our growing fleet of Yamaha motorcycles for hire.
The Tracer 700 is derived from Yamaha’s very successful MT-07. Its 689cc liquid cooled, twin motor has an identical specification, and though the exhaust and air intakes have been developed for Euro 4 compliance, it still produces a class-leading 74 bhp and a hefty 50 ft-lbs of torque, like the MT-07. This good-looking motorcycle shares all the excellent qualities of the award-winning MT-07 as well; agility, power, a great gearbox, a very comfortable riding position, and light, responsive handling.
MT-07 to Tracer 700 Evolution
The differences between the two bikes are subtle and telling. Yamaha has designed the Tracer 700 for touring as well as riding pleasure. The ergonomic set up of the Tracer 700 also makes it feel like a larger bike. The foot pegs are in the same place as on the MT-07, but the rear sub-frame has been redesigned and raises the seat by 30mm, so there is more legroom. Yamaha has also raised the handlebar, added handguards, and moved the bar a bit closer to the rider, making the riding position even more comfortable. The enlarged 17 litre tank, half fairing with twin headlights, and adjustable screen set the touring tone.
The Tracer 700 also has a new aluminium rear swing arm, which is 50 mm longer and replaces the steel unit on the MT-07. This increases stability for two-up touring. Alongside this, the bike’s suspension set up has been remodelled. The rear shock absorber is physically longer with more travel and revised linkages, and the front fork also has longer travel for touring comfort as well as a revised spring rate to account for the added weight of the fairing. The resulting ride is positive and comfortable, while the lengthened wheelbase and increased rake have not compromised the bike’s handling at all – the Tracer 700 drops into corners just as well as the MT-07.
Dual 282mm front discs with four-pot callipers and a 245mm rear disc ensure powerful and responsive braking, and ABS is now equipped as standard.
The RoadTrip Yamaha Tracer 700 Motorcycle Rental
At 196 kg kerb side weight the Tracer 700 is the lightest machine in its class, and with its superb motor and chassis, this sure-footed and comfortable motorcycle hire is an ideal choice for riders looking for a high quality, medium sized, sporty ride, and who would find a larger machine difficult or intimidating to handle. The RoadTrip Tracer 700 is finished in Yamaha Radical Red and we have fitted a touring saddle for added rider and passenger comfort, as well as optional luggage and Sat Nav.
